Got an abit kv7-v.
athalon 2900+.
got 2 gig of ram, sorta.
I have 3 slots for ram first one has 1 gig the other 2 have 512.
however the third slot just won't see the ram in it, i pulled out ram reseated it switched it with the second slot even removed it completely still says i have 1.5 gig.
when i had two 1 gig chips in the first two slots it was fine and worked at 2 gig.
The board is old and this is the first time i have tried to put something in that slot.
what should i do to get the third slot to work properly?

Every extra DIMM you add "dilutes" the strength of the signals between the memory controller and DIMMs, so some MBs aren't happy with 3 DIMMs installed. If you can boost the Northbridge and/or memory (Vdimm) voltages a bit in the BIOS, I'd try that. There may be other settings in your BIOS that control the strength of the signals to/from the memory.
