Question Memory is set at 3600 mhz (XMP) but task manager says it’s running at 2400mhz

I have a ryzen 7 2700x and 2 16gb for 3600mhz RAM. I first booted my pc and it kept crashing it finally booted and it was set at 2400mhz. I went into bios changed to XMP and it said it was set at 3600mhz. When i checked task manager again it said it was only running at 2400mhz. I have a B450M DS3H wifi mother board. I ran 2 8gb 3000mhz before the upgrade. I have no clue what’s happening i’ve watched videos and everything but task manager still is running only at 2400mhz. I’ve tried AMDS cpu software and everything.

Which Ryzen ? 1st and 2nd gen is difficult to force to 3600MHz.
Have latest BIOS version ?

Yes latest BIOS jjst updates yesterday i boight my
pc in 2019 so i don’t know what gen.(Looked it up its second gen) I was running 3000mhz before. Could i at least run 3200mhz with 32gb? If so how?

You will see a line under the Memory Controller section that states the "Supported Memory: DDR4-2933. I suspect your system is reporting it as DDR4-3000.

I doubt you will get it to run any faster than that regardless of the RAM modules' advertised speeds.

is there a way for me to set it at 2990 mhz?
