Memory latency

Hi I hope someone can shed some light on this. I am running Kingston Hyper X DDR2 800 latency of 4-4-4-12. The bios was flashing 667, so I overclocked in bios to 800. The default was 667 5-5-5-15. Do I need to go back in the bios and manually set the latencyat 4-4-4-12? Or if I leave the setting on auto will it automatically detect the change in speed and adjust? I am using a ASUS P5K-EPU. The memory is Kingston KHX6400D2LLK2/2G. I am running a full 4 gig with XP-PRO 64. Thanks don

^ Yes you would have to manualy set the latency to 4-4-4-12...If it causes any instability issues, then revert back the settings to AUTO...

Run CPU-Z and check the SPD tab for recommended timings at 800.
If you run different timings other than recommended run memtest86+ and check for errors.

If there is a difference between CPU-Z timings and manufacturer's advertised timings, go with the manufacturer's advertised timings.
