Question Memory leak, need a new memory stick, or need to reinstall

Memory leak, need a new memory stick, or need to reinstall

So basically this has been happening for the past couple of months and I don't know which was to go about this. Basically over a period of time when I have my internet browser (chrome) open, my ram usage goes up, but the thing is that the percentage doesn't go as low as it should when you close out programs. This also happens when I night I run a handbrake conversion script through powershell while also running my torrent program in the background. Over the past year this has been working fine, but a couple of months ago my ram usage would go all the way up to 98 percent, making my pc slow and making any open explorer windows go black with white borders (i have only those two programs open and not any other background programs except for Dropbox which I had always open). Could it be a memory leak or something else that was configured. I scan my computer regularly and don't see any programs out of of ordinary.

If it is an actual leak, then there is nothing YOU can do. A leak is a coding error made by the developer. All you could do would be to update software, if there was an update that fixed it and you knew for sure what software.

Could their be anything else that isn't a memory leak involved?
