Hey guys,

Could anyone possibly let me know why I'm using around 70-75% of my RAM when I'm just browsing the internet? If I launch any game it basically maxes it at 100%. Picture below for reference.

There's nothing else running in the background from what I could tell, and even restarting my PC my memory usage is instantly sitting around 70%. I have pretty new DDR4 3200 ram.

I agree with you, but even after closing my browser my memory usage only dropped 3%.

When you closed the browser the RAM will be freed, the system might move some apps from pagefile back to the RAM to speed up the process in case you open it so the amount of RAM would vary.

Anyway, a balanced system won't leave a lot of unused RAM as it would be a waste of money and resource.
