memory low index number

I have build me i new gaming rig only i have a strange outcome for my memory ive put all compatible parts a far a i know i have build a amd pc with asus m5a79 r2.0 motherboard, with a FX 6350 processor for gpu i have a R9 270x oc edition 4gb + 8gb vengeance 1800 mhz i will get a score between 7.5 and 7.9 like expected only now comes the problem the memory gives me a score of 5.5 wile i have 8gb vengeance 1800mhz i don't know what is the problem is any advice would be appriociated i thought i would be in the sweet spot with my 8gb but i think i have mistaken maybe thnx in advance Raphael
