[SOLVED] Memory Management BSOD

Tried memtest, windows memory diagnostic,tried reinstaling windows, tried moving ram to another slot/ cleaning ram/ reseat ram/ updating drivers/ sfc scan

Put it in slot A1 and B1 for 2 stick setup if 3 sticks put it in A1+A2+B1
Its prob not the same mobo but that does not really matter. The concept is the same.

i only have 2 ram slots h110m -d d3 of asus and only have 1 memory module 8gb ddr3 1866mhz

Need computer build information (or make and model), Windows 10 install info and circumstances that resulted in blue screen if problem persists

that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site, and share the link here and I will get someone to convert file into a format I can read

its likely an old driver, dumps will tell us

Filter Manager file or fltmgr.sys is responsible for making sure that all the file that is stored in a user’s hard drive stay in their respective locations. Its part of windows.

try this while I get someone to read dumps

right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

NTOSKRNL = windows kernel. It handles all driver requests, power management, and memory management. It sits between Hardware and Applications. It got blamed but its not the cause.

9 out of 10 BSOD blame ntoskrnl as it handles all driver requests. So driver asks it to do something it can't, it crashes. It gets blamed, whereas driver that caused error gets to hide in shadows

The file gardenman creates will show me what drivers were running at time, we may need to play cat & mouse with it to get it to show itself or the driver listing might make it obvious. Most bsod caused by old drivers so updating them can fix them.

Bios update as suggested above could help as well. Look in the bios update manual for motherboard https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/B250M-BASALT/E13571_BIOS_Update_EM_V4_WEB.pdf (description of board in link doesn't match yours but feature is same in multiple Asus motherboards, and this is what the support site of your motherboard offers for bios update guide)

Update Intel Management Engine Interface to latest version if you do this as well, its mentioned in the 2nd bios file on site - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110M-D-D3/HelpDesk_BIOS/ - if you do it online through bios you don't need to download these BIOS files.

i have updated my bios now that was so scary lol

Yes, its a scary process but its getting safer every year. I don't suggest it unless it could fix a problem and I can't see anything else that is obvious.

i think it is fixed now i rebuild my pc checked all the cables and updated my drivers especially the drivers for storage controllers, so far in gaming no bluescreens
