Memory Management Error while copy pasting

Hi.

I know this problem has been mentioned a thousand times but honestly none of them could resolve my problem which is a little bit different. Well as you see above, it appears I only get the error while copy and pasting... I'm not quite sure yet because it's been 12 hours since I assembled my PC. The specs are:
1x8 GB RAM DDR3 1600
i5 4460
H81M-S2PV
GTX 970

I did run RAM diagnostic and no error found - although every time I ran it, it ended up a black screen, so I couldn't get to see the log files, but before that no error.

I also couldn't get the Windows installed on my new PC because I was getting the same error while installing, so what I had to do is to get my HDD to my old PC and get the OS installed there and then attaching it to my new PC in order to boot!

And one last thing, my HDD is quite old, would that be a problem? Thanks for reading my post and I hope you pardon my English 🙂

Very likely a RAM issue, test it with memtest86, the test in Mobo / Windows aren't really a great test so don't rely on their results.

I cannot get memtest86 to work, I'm not an enthusiast 🙂

I'm just not sure if the RAM is the problem. I could easily send it back to the retailer. would you mind telling me how certain you are about the RAM being the issue?

Only way to be certain is by running a proper test like memtest86, simply burn it on a CD (or in a pendrive if you use it's usb version) and boot your pc with it, make sure to select the proper device as the first boot device in BIOS (or use the boot menu if available) and it should run with no problems.

Can a "not-updated" BIOS cause this? Because RAM seems to be fine!

There could be stability fixes for your BIOS indeed, go ahead and try it.

One other thing I noticed is that my RAM model is not in my motherboard's memory support list where you can have a look at here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4664#memory%20support%20list

My RAM model is CT102464BA160B.M16FED and the closest one in the list is CT102464BD160B.M16FED

Could that in any way make the problem. Also my BIOS seems to be updated to latest version.

Could be, the memtest86 would rule that out too if it comes out with no errors.
