Hello everyone,

I have had so many problems with my current PC, that I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy.

I keep getting a memory management B.S.O.D. (blue screen of death) about once twice a day.
I have ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics test through windows and got no errors and found this thread "http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1811018/memory-management-bsod-memtest-errors.html"... reason for my post is that almost everything in my system is about a week old and I really don't think that I have to tamper with the voltage of anything

My computer specs:
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 - NEW
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor - 1yr old
Cooler: Corsair H110 - NEW
Video Cards: 2X EVGA GTX 770 SC - Sli - 1yr old
Memory: 4X Patriot Viper III DDR3 2400MHz = Total 16GBs - NEW
Power Supply: Antec 850W - 1yr old
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro - New
Storage: kingston HyperX 240Gb SSD - 1yr old
6x other mechanical drives

P.s. system is not overclocked

Usually the QVL is not so much an issue if you are using speeds that play nice with your CPU but going to such high speed stuff with an AMD CPU then yes I would stay with the QVL for the higher speed stuff. Maybe try updating your BIOS as well if it's not the latest version.
I'm pretty sure the integrated memory controller on AMD FX CPUs have problems with memory faster than about DDR3 1866. Is the RAM on the motherboard's QVL? Pretty sure anything over DDR3 2400 ( and maybe lower ) is only certified to work with Intel setups.

QVL is here:

http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/HelpDesk_QVL/

Windows memory diagnostic is about useless as it can't test system reserved memory. Run memtest for 12 to 16 hours. Any errors at all mean problems.

http://www.memtest.org/

Download and mount the image to a CD then boot off the CD so memtest can run outside Windows and effectively test all of your memory.

I am about to go to bed but will start the test so that it can run all night...

I was looking at the QVL page you posted... should I buy ram ONLY listed in the most current update of the page?
