Memory/Motherboard compatibility question!

Hi guys!

I have this mother: Gygabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, and my brother gave me this 2 memories: Patriot Memory 1333ELA Series/4 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3.

In the mother's compatibility list, that memory is not in the list ... how can i do to make them works? Updating BIOS could be a possibility?

Just try it first, if not working, update bios and try again. If not working, buy some ram listed
