Memory not showing up!!!HELP!

Okay, can somebody PLEASE help! I put my first post ever in the wrong sub-category... This is my second...

But my ram shows up as 4GB not the 8Gb what I have in there.. The ram & cpu are from a dell xps 8300.. Here are my specs

MB: Msi z77a-gd65

CPU: i7 2600 from a dell xps 8300 will upgrade soon, don't have the money..

RAM: 8GB says only 4GBs

PSU: TX 750 watt from corsair

GPU: Nvdia GTX 680

OS: Windows 7 home 64bit

Don't know why, maybe its not in all way or its a driver, can't update tho cus my pc needs a network adapter, using a laptop right now please help!!!

Welcome to the forums!

If you think the memory is not in all the way, do check to make sure it is. Also go into your BIOS and see what it says about your RAM.

Are all the memory sticks the same? Also make sure your motherboard supports 8GB of RAM.
