[SOLVED] Memory not showing up in Windows

Hi,
I have 2x8gb of memory, but when I turn off my computer and then turn it back on, only 8gb of memory shows up in Windows. When I reboot the PC, It shows the 16gb. When I enter BIOS, both of the memory sticks show up.
Do you know where is the problem?

Some versions of WIN7 only allow 8GB RAM. Starter, and Home Basic basic versions have this limit, Home Premium has 16GB, Pro and Ultimate have 192GB.

I have Windows 10 Home 64 bit, which turns out to have a memory limit of 128 gb. The weirdest thing is that it shows the 16gb when i reboot it, but when i just turn it off and then back on, it only shows 8gb.

Maybe reset the CMOS with the jumper or r&r the battery. It may have an old capacity saved.
Updating the BIOS may help also if there's a newer one.
