Hey guys, I posted once before recently, and was very pleased at the quick and informative responses I got. That was about CPUs. I'm currently planning out my next rig. It will be used for nothing but gaming as I already have this one (Athlon 64 4000+, x800GT, 2gigs of ram). Anyway, I have no real knowledge of RAM, and I come to you for help.

The rig I am building will have to be on a budget. For the memory, my question is, will DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) get the job done? I will probably be getting an E6750 (overclocking), and an 8800GT. I'm looking to be able to run crysis on maybe medium settings comfortably (I can currently run it on low comfortably). So what would you guys recommend I get as far as my memory goes? I am on a budget, so try not to go overboard and recommend the most expensive stuff on the market.

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Those look like pretty good choices.I just tried out the demo with a skt.939 4000+,2 gigs ddr and a 7900gt.It was quite playable on med settings so the combo you picked should do much better. You might get an aftermarket cooler for the 8800 though since they seem to run on the warm side.DDR2 800 will be fine.

e6750 uses 667mhz ram by default so 800mhz is great.
8800gt and e6750 combo will give you enough FPS at medium settings to be very playable especially if you are happy with your current rig on low.

e6750 is pretty good for OCing should get it up over 3ghz with no worries
The 8800GT's already have factory OCed variants for sale... but they are also decent especially with a third party cooler... apparently there is a new HR-03 "GT" model that fits the 8800GT that provides great OC's
As for the RAM you shouldnt need to touch it as 800mhz stuff will be more than enough the run and OCed e6750 however Crucial Ballistics is probably currently the best OCer in that class.
