After installing IBM viavoice I get "speechbar.exe application error" followed by Instruction at “0*00b0b639” referred memory at “0*00c42f58” memory could not be read.
Is this a memory prob or software ???
Any help would be great, thanks.

Most likely application-specific problem, relating to the OS and not the hardware itself.

Any problems with the memory before?

Your memory should be ok for most applications.

Most likely the chips are marked as "Aries", which means they are OEM. Nothing wrong with that, just means that the standards aren't as high as the modules built using major-brand chips (Samung, Micron, Infineon).

In anycase, most "memory could not be read" errors are problems related to the application and OS.
