Hi all,

I just did a build update to the new Ryzen 5 1600X. My Processor is fine, however, my RAM is currently running at 1600MHZ. I have it set to 3200 MHZ. Precisely set to:
16
18
18
18
32
At 1.35
3200MHZ
CPU-Z clocks it at 1600MHZ in windows. If I change the timing, it always is exactly half. So, 2400MHZ results in 1200MHZ. I thought I might have non-compatible RAM, but I double checked and on MSI X370 SLI PLUS (My Mobo) support. They list Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W) as compatible. Not only that, they say it should run at 3200MHZ. I've got the latest bios installed. So, I've never encountered this. Any thoughts as to whats occurring? How I can fix it?

Cheers.

Oh wow. I feel dumb. Pulling my hair out for nothing. Thank you.

If you ever look at Graphics Card memory clocks, they're sometimes vastly different, because sometimes they double the base number, other times it's quadrupled.
