Hi,
in my previous post I was told I got memory messages b/c of incompatibility/problems w/ Windows. However, this happens w/ windows itself, Kazaa, and many other programs. Does this look like a hardware problem?

U got a problem?! Then dial 1800-328-7448!

It could be hardware related. If you have the ECS K7S5A mobo there is an issue with Windows 2000 that is fixed with the most recent BIOS release. Also you can get memory errors if your power supply is insufficent. Just a few things to look at. Hope this helps.

That Windows itself possible problem still bothering me.

Any chance you have a free partition on your harddrive? Or a spare HDD?
In order to troubleshoot the problem without wasting time I would rather made a second Win2000 installation, downloaded and installed some possibly proved good test programs (or just programs people never complain on), nothing else, and ran untill simulated the same problem. If it happened, I would confirm it would be a hardware problem.

It doesn't take much time, probably less than possible to spend on an investigation the problems on the existing Win2000 installation.

Even I hadn't have an empty partition/HDD, I would try another Win2000 installation into different directory instead. Troubleshoot on pure Win2000 and also on 100% proved stable programs/tests, see what happens, and then uninstall. It's easy. If you see that all well known stable programs work on your machine, but other troublesome ones don't, then call the faulty program manufacturers and tell them.

You never did test your DIMMs independently like I suggested did you? :)
I know...it's a pain in the ass...but better to know for sure than to just guess. It would suck if you reinstalled Windows... and the problem didn't stop.
