Memory Problem with MSI Gaming Plus Z370

I am using a set of HyperX DDR4 2666 totaling 8GB. The motherboard is brand new and just installed today. Each one works on DIMMB2. But neither will work on DIMMA2. If I put one in DIMMA2, the EZ Debug LED lights blinks CPU and next a solid second of DRAM. Then repeats. Am I missing something?

although your manual says to use DIMMA2 for 1 stick and DIMMA2 & DIMMB2 for dual channel, i would try DIMMA1 and DIMMB1 and see if it works.

No. I don't know if I have an issue with the memory. Or the motherboard.

I am having the exact same issue. I tested each stick by itself. and one will only work, so i sent to corsair for new sticks and they arrived. I tried them and they wouldnt post. Both sticks worked, so i thought it mustve been the motherboard. I sent for a new motherboard and now only one stick will work. I am utterly defeated at what to do. Im currently sending to corsair asking for new ram again or just one stick of 16gb
