memory problem

ok I have a GigaByte 8I845GVM RZ motherboard when i put two 1gb (pc 2700-ddr333) crucial sticks of ram in the board it just beeps really fast at me the ram but i can put one stick in either slot and it works fine what do I do?

Some older boards did not even work with 1 gig sticks (had a limit of 512 megs/slot). Your lucky it works with a single 1 gig stick. It may max out at a total of 1 gig, not recognizing any higher amount of memory.

this board is a p4 board and it takes a max of 2 gb
