I am building a new desktop computer and am buying the Asus Prime X470-Pro Motherboard. The only thing left is the memory. According to the motherboard description, this is what it says"

Memory

AMD Ryzen™ 2nd Generation Processors
4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3600(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz Un-buffered Memory *
AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics/ Ryzen™ 1st Generation Processors
4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz Un-buffered Memory
AMD 7th Generation A-Series/Athlon X4 Processors

I don't plan on overclocking when I first build it but possibly at some point in the future. I'm a little confused by the Motherboard Memory description. Am I understanding this right that it will take pretty much anything from 2133 to 3600 Un-buffered Memory? If so, I would guess that the faster the better?

That's a good one. Samsung B-Die is the bestest you can get. I did splurge for the Adata RGB XPG 3600 16-18-18. That was B-Die too, and I've got it at 3400 14-14-14. Ya, the C14 @ 3200 tends to be pretty spensive, but it is good RAM, and RAM prices in general are crazy high right now, but not quite as bad as they were...
Faster is better is a good place to start, and yes, it will run anything from 2133 to 3600 and maybe faster... 3200 C14 seems to be the sweet spot, though, like I said, faster is better, just remember that there's not only the throughput number, that's the 2133/3600, but the Cas Latency, CL, or CAS. Really high throughput with really high CL is bad. Try for something with Samsung B-Die in them, google is your friend there. Also, anything over 2400 is overclocked when it comes to RAM. Also, faster RAM will help speed up your Ryzen processor...
