Benchmarking, I get 68ns at 3600mhz c16 and 71ns at 3200mhz c14. The infinity fabric is over 10% faster at 3600mhz. 100mhz difference in infinity fabric equates to about 1.5ns in latency so 200mhz would be 3ns.

That’s interesting, because by the real latency formula calculation, DDR4-3600 CL16 should have a real latency of 8.88ns, while DDR4-3200 CL14 should have a real latency of 8.75ns.
Meaning that in this particular case DDR4-3200 should be the faster one.

Real latency calculation formula:
(CL : MT/s) x 2000 = Real Latency [ns]

Once it receives the memory command it's slightly faster but because the infinity fabric is over 10% faster at 1800mhz the RAM receives the request earlier and returns the result earlier.
