Hi guys, I am having problems to turn on my notebook, and I figured out that one of the memory ram chip is like too hot, can I just cut it off? (unattach)
If it's soldered to the motherboard, no, at least not without some knowledge of how to desolder parts. If it's just soldered RAM the system should work without it on the other chip, but that depends on how the work was done.
How have you determined that it is too hot? What do you consider too hot? RAM is very power hungry, I'm skeptical a memory chip would be overheating...
