Memory/RAM usage 95 - 100% when playing fortnite

Hi all of a sudden my ram is at full usage on fortnite making the game extremely laggy and unplayable any idea what could be causing this or if theirs a fix? I've never ran into this problem before only today.

Ram: 2x 4gb ddr4 2400mhz
SSD/HDD: 1tb hdd 7200rpm
GPU: MSI RX 480 Gaming x 8G

Chassis: Zalman Z9 neo
OS: W 10 64bit

Since some updates fortnite uses abit more memory. I have 8GB ddr3 ram and when i look from task manager it takes around 6-6.5GB out of 8GB memory. Ingame open task manager and check that if its actually your memory which is running out and not something else, also check processes if something else eats your ram. Download malwarebytes free and hitman malware removal tool (30day trial) and run some tests.

I have a freshly built $3,500 desktop and Fortnite won't run unless I disable RGB on the motherboard. The RGB feature was one of the reasons I got the motherboard. No Fortnite then ^_^

What is RGB? Too bad, im running 150-200fps constant with 8 year old cpu and 6 year old gpu
