What specific memory kit would some of you recommend as high end, that's at least 3000 MHz, specifically for a Ryzen build.

Look for a 3000 or 3200 MHz C14 kit on the Memory QVL for your mb if you want Samsung B dies.
I personally went with a 16 GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200 kit (F4-3200c16d-16gtzr) which are Hynix AFC.
These were on my MB QVL and they work very well with my Ryzen 5 2600.
I have them running at 3400 MHz with slightly tighter timings.

Memory QVL is a list of RAM kit models that your mother board manufacturer tested with your motherboard.
It can be found on the support page for your motherboard.
That ensures that they work at their rated speeds on you motherboard.
Samsung B die ram chips are the best chips available for Overclocking.
What motherboard do you have or are going to buy?
