Memory Remap Setting on my MotherBoard?

Ok so I've got this problem where I have 8GBs of RAM installed physically in my PC but the System tab in Control Panel says I can only use 4.00GBs. I have checked my Mother boards booklet and it supports up to 32GBs of RAM so I should be covered. My windows 8 is 64 bit so that should be good. I've checked task manager and close all the backround processes but that doesnt help. The only solution Im left with is the BIOS Memory Remap Feature. I have a Gygabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 MotherBoard. Please help, If I don't have or support the Memory Remap feature.. what am I going to do?? 🙁

Before proceeding with that feature, I would first test each memory stick individually and make sure they are all recognized correctly. It could be a faulty memory stick.

If they all work correctly separately, make sure you try other combinations of slots on your mobo. Refer to the manual for other possible combinations.

If nothing of the above helps, only then try using the memory remap feature, it is usually found in BIOS. If it doesn't exist, you should update your BIOS to the latest version and check again.

Ok so I downloaded the only file there is for the update BIOS thing and tried to install it but It said that the installer is not compatible with windows 8 64Bit and I cant check which BIOS version I have either, Ive looked everywhere for it and I cant find what version it is

Not Quite sure what that is but it says that I have 4031MBs of Aprox total memory

Ok so I think I have found my BIOS version it says "Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG" Is that the latest or...

Get the free app CPU-Z it will tell mobo, CPU and DRAM model(part) numbers

Ok so I moved my 2 4GB RAM Stick to another 2 slots on my Mobo and at first the pc still read them as 3.25Gb but I started up my PC this morning and Now its saying I cant use the Full 8GB I dont know what happened to make it work but Im happy and Im not going to question it, Thanks everyone for there help
