[SOLVED] Memory running at 32 bit not 64 bit.

I have a AMD FX-6200 Zambezi 6-Core 3.8GHz installed on GIGABYTE GA-880GM-D2H (REV. 3.1) motherboard. With 8Gb system memory, 2Gb Radeon 550... The system information window says it's a 64 bit operating system and 64 bit processor. The system memory only lists it as 4 Gb Usable memory. Why am I not getting the full memory, it's as if I'm running a 32 bit system?

go to resource monitor then memory, see if it got all 8gb

Check if your memory is running dual or single channel.

I checked my mempory and it listed only as 6Gb. I then removed the memory chips and installed another 2x4 Gb kit and it works good now. Shows as 8Gb. Thank you for your help.
