Question Memory says 1333mhz but is rated for 2666mhz??

I switched motherboard and cpu and everything else is the same, i got an asus prime b450m and a Ryzen 5 2600 and ever since i switched i noticed in task manager that my ram is at 1333mhz, even though XMP is enabled in bios. Im very confused and if anyone knows that would be great

DDR means Double Data Rate. If you double 1333 it is 2666, hvis is the speed your RAM is running at. So 1333 MHz is correct

oh ok, thanks. I got really confused because before on my old motherboard it said 2666mhz than when i switched it went to 1333mhz, thanks for the clarification!

Some motherboards and / or applications, show effective clock whereas other show actual clock. That's the difference.
