[SOLVED] Memory speed. pls help

when I change my ram speed over 2400mhz, (pls don't tell me to use docp/xmp cuz i've done that), the pc immediately shuts down. is this psu ocp?
i even changed voltage to 1.35 and ram timings and when i change memory to over 2400mhz the pc immediately shuts down.
cpu-ryzen 5 3400g
mobo- asus prime b450mk
ram- hyperx fury rgb 16gb kit 8gb*2 @ 3200mhz(unfortunately runs at 2400mhz)
pls i need any help cuz my ram speed is so important for me as im using an APU..

my bios is latest version, i checked everywhere and in the bios itself

Can you tell the version number?

You tried XMP and also setting voltage to 1.35, but what timing settings did you change when not using XMP after manually setting the ram to 3200 (I'm assuming you tried this already).

I'm asking what you changed the timings to. That is important because you might have either set it incorrectly or forgot to change a setting that would make it work. Honestly you are probably better off returning the ram and getting a different brand kit if you just bought this 3200 kit.

basically the first 5 colums im not sure of the names perfectly but the numbers r just as u see

If you are using those timings for 3200MT/s, it is likely the reason it doesn't work. You were using CL17 which won't work on AMD 300-500 series motherboards unless you disable gear down mode to use odd cass latency.

Change your timings to Cas Latency-16 tRCDWR-18 tRCDRD-18 tRP-18 tRAS-36 tRC-54 and for tRFC try either 324 first and change to 432 if 324 doesn't work. Those timings should be your ram kits advertised timings for 3200 CL16. Leave everything else on auto. Don't forget to set voltage to 1.35.

i changed the timings and dram voltage but not the frequency then it booted properly, then i restarted once more to change frequency and when i changed, it just shuts down immediately... what is the problem omg

First, set the ram speed to 2933 or 3000 and see if it boots. If it boots, try 3200 again, but change tRC to 58 and tRFC to 480. If that doesn't work try bumping voltage by .01v from 1.36 to 1.38. If you still can't boot, you might also need to set procODT to 53, RTT_Nom to 34, RTT_WR to off and RTT_Park to 48 if they're not already set there. Also set power down mode and BGS (bank group swap) to disabled.

Don't change any of settings if you don't see the option I said. I'm working off of google images to find the correct settings for your bios screen and it's difficult because I can't find everything.

OMFG THANKS BROOOOOOO it now works at 3000mhz omg ur the only one who told me about that power down and rtt stuff and timings thanks so much i mean it still doesnt work at 3200mhz but 3000mhz is enough as its much better than 2400mhz thanks and god bless u.

Make sure you run a memory tester like memtest86 to make sure it's stable with 0 errors after at least one full test pass of the default 4 passes. You can likely still get 3200, but you may need to increase voltage to 1.38.

It is, you're absolutely right, but having using hyper 3200 before in ryzen builds I can tell you it's an absolute b***h to get running at 3200.

Its capable of 2933 at 1.2v using xmp profiles and with very tight timings and with quite possibly much more ease.

Unless that board has a number of user definable profiles (I have no idea if it does but its very budget orientated) then he'll be constantly tinkering from scratch on every boot fail.

If it boots at 2933 we at least have stable base to start from.

You are using a "Picasso" Ryzen 3400G APU, the webpage you posted only refers to Matisse and Pinnacle QVL. Also couldn´t find your
KHX3200C16D4/8GX on this site, only this 3200MHz one, which is not the same model: HX432C16PB3K2/16
