Memory stick wont work

My memory stick stopped working probablt a week ago. When i insert it and click on its icon it says " insert disk in drive F:" (or what ever drive i inserted it in) the same message apears when i try to format it or explore it or anything! it is sooo annoying

it does the same thing on any other computer i try no matter what the OS. although one time i kept changing the ports frequently even re entering into the same port and by luck and a message came on saying i should format disk before using! but then th computer froze and i had to restart and then the "insert disk in drive F:" message came again what shud i doo!!


please answer fast!!!!!

Unfortunately the memory stick is bad, if it does not work on any computer. Had similar problem before with Sandisk brand. From that point on, I always eject the USB device by clicking the icon on systray. I only remove the drive when it says it's safe to do so.
