Hello,
I have a gigabyte X58A-UD3R(rev2) mobo. And I currently have four RAM sticks(ddr3) waiting to be put into the 6 memory slots available on the mobo, they are:
-TWO Kingston 2GB (1333)
-TWO Kingston 4GB (1333)
The slots in the mobo are arranged like this from the left to right:
2, 1, 4, 3, 6, 5
(2,1 as channel 0; 4,3 as channel 1; 6,5 as channel 2)
OS I'm running on this system:
Win8 RP x64 and OS X 10.8 (dual booting).
I was just wondering if there's a special placement arrangement for them which is the best practice for my situation, so that my OS will take the best advantage of it when needed?
Thank you very much and I really appreciate your help!
