Hey all,

just wondering - I've got some OCZOCZ4001024ELDCPE-K RAM, and OCZ says
the memory timings are CL 2-3-2-5 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS). Wondering which
order i should specify these to my BIOS, which gives names for the
timings that don't quite seem to translate well to the CAS, TRCD, TRP,
and TRAS abbreviations.... here's what the defaults are in my NF7-S v2.0
BIOS rev 27:

Row-active delay: 6
RAS-to-CAS delay: 3
Row-precharge delay: 3
CAS Latency Time: 2.0

Thanks!

JB

Best thing to do is choose the By SPD option in your memory timings page of
your BIOS. it will automatically set them to recommended timings.

That 'should' work indeed, but it does not always. It seems to me
memory specifications are not always set the right way, especially
with underclocking or overclocking. So always check in BIOS or with a
util what the actual settings are.

Thanks Chuck!

Row-active delay: 6 = TRAS
RAS-to-CAS delay: 3 = TRCD
Row-precharge delay: 3 = TRP
CAS Latency Time: 2.0 = CAS Latency Time

You may want to set TRAS to 10 or 11, seems to benchmark slightly better.
