I am currently pricing out a new rig and need a little help

I'm looking into a i9-9900k CPU and the specs say:
Memory Types DDR4 2666
Memory Channel 2
does this mean i should only be looking for DDR4 2666? in 2 sticks?

the MOBO would be:
ASUS Prime Z390-A LGA 1151
it can support much more but i don't want to run into any problems

(Side note i will not be doing any overclocking on this rig)

2666mhz is the max memory speed officially supported by intel. That system can easily run sticks much faster than that, faster memory can have noticeable performance benefits in some games and applications. Personally I would opt for a faster memory kit maybe a 3200mhz CL14 kit if you can swing it. All you have to do is enable XMP in the BIOS and the sticks will run at their advertised speed, timing, and voltage. This is technically overclocking I suppose, though you will be making use of some of the capabilities of you unlocked Z motherboard and K processor.
