Memory ugrade 10600 or 12800

Hi,
On my HP S5-1414 as per specs I have 2 option for memory
DDR3 DIMM
PC3-10600(1333 MHz) or PC3-12800(1600MHz)

Non ECC memory only, unbuferred

Do you know what is the diff? Your recomendations? 12800 is more expensive but will get any benefit compar with 10600.
Can I mix them together?

Don't mix and there is no noticeable difference although the 1600 is slightly faster it is only measurable by benchmarking.

I went from 1066 to 1600 and the only difference i had is with windows experience index went from 7.4 to 7.7 and no boot time difference, no difference in games.

The best is to get more memory at the cheapest price: go with 1333 X 8 gb instead of 4 gb of 1600

also get the same memory you will get problems (same timing, frequency and voltage) you don't have to buy memory kits, just so long it's the same brand and memory type
