Memory upgrade questions...

So faster memory is better, but should I just concentrate on the memory's speed, or should I also go for the lowest latency...??

Right now I am running ddr4 2666 cl13 and I was thinking of going to ddr4 3400.

Any info is appreciated.

Speeds above 3000 have diminishing improvements. From 2666 to 3000 you might get a 5% improvement. Is the cost worth it? Only you can decide.

Anyway what exactly the motherboard... it should able to handle it too otherwise you will stuck in lower clocks no matter what speed of RAM you put.

The mobo supports speeds up 4000. Lets say I decide to just go with 3000, should I also try to get the lowest latency I can afford...??

Staying on lower latency will be efficient if you have plans going for a RAM above 3000. But for the RAMs which are under 3000 there is no point of doing so mainly because there's no big change in the performance.
