Bought a computer a few months ago from Cyberpower using generic memory - Vulcan T force 16gb 3000 (Don't need rgb)

Running ryzen 3900x, asrock 570 pro 4, evga 2070 ultra, 650 psu

considering 16gb of 4000.....lot's of good memory sales going on with Newegg. suggestions?

i suggest you dont change it.
even if you hit 4000mhz ram, its probably cl17 or cl18

and its honestly.. not much of a gap in performance. going from 2400 to 3000 is a nice 5-10% imporvement in some workloads
while from 3000 to 3600 or 4000 is 3% uplift at best.

Thanks for the reply. I've been doing a lot of reading and was wondering if there would be much of a performance increase. This is why I submitted my post. You've confirmed a lot of what I've been reading.
