Memory upgrade XPS8700

I have a 2 year old XPS 8700 i7-4970CPU @ 3.60Ghz with 12 GB of Memory. I am doing some CAD and drawing work. Would I see a benefit by upgrading to 24 GB or 32GB or would in be a waste of money ???

I think 12GB is plenty, there's not much point getting more RAM than that with an i7 in CAD, you'd need to buy a fresh kit of DDR3 as well which is expensive now.
Save the rest of your money for potentially an x99 CPU upgrade in the future.
