Hi there, I am currently using Windows 8.1 and was just checking the memory usage when i noticed something strange. In the Users tab of task manager it says i am using a total of 1,625.3mb of memory out of the 8gb that i have, but in the memory tab just above it says 52% of the total memory is in use. Is there something wrong here or is there an explanation for this? Thanks.(I linked a screenshot of my task manager)

Ram usage statistics are very misleading.
Windows keeps code in ram in anticipation of reuse.
It does not mean that what is there is actively being used.
The best indicator of ram shortage is to look at the hard fault page rate.
That is where windows needs to swap code from the page file.
That number should be well below 1 per second.
