New to computer building and have a question. Do I need to match the voltage on a MOBO to the voltage of memory stick?

Example:

On the GIGABYTE GA-MA69VM-S2 AM2 AMD 690V Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. The Gigabyte website says memory is DDR2 800. Then it says 1.8 V.

DO I have to purchase 1.8 V RAM? What if it was higher? How would the affect the system? Thanks in advance.

You can always change the voltage in the BIOS. If you're not overclocking, just stick with RAM with 1.8. A DATA is good is you're overclocking and if you are, the Crucial Ballistix is very good but a bit more expensive
