Hi there guys. I got myself a RYZEN 1800X processor with ASUS PRO PRIME X370 motherboard and this memory
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232487

Now the memory is rated at CL14 and 3000 Mhz (the one I got is the 3000 Mhz one). I read that Ryzen is not supporting memory dividers of 3000Mhz and 3400Mhz, does that mean this memory won't work. I am still waiting on the components and haven't tried it yet. Please advice. And if I use this can I squeeze out good performance out of it?

Solution
Fancy RAM.

You can use your RAM just fine but not at speeds of 3000 Mhz. Since your RAM comes with XMP profiles, you can run your RAM on supported Ryzen RAM speeds of 2133 Mhz, 2400 Mhz or 2666 Mhz.
Just select the highest XMP profile of supported Ryzen RAM speed from BIOS. E.g when you don't have 2666 Mhz XMP profile but do have 2400 Mhz XMP profile then select 2400 Mhz XMP profile.
By default, your RAM should be running in 2133 Mhz when you first install it into the system.

Solution
Thanks a lot for your answer Aeacus. Do you think there is a faster RAM i can go for? In the same price range. Cause I still have this packaged and can return and get a replacement. Please let me know. I want to get most out of my Ryzen System. :) Thanks.

Your MoBo specs: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X370-PRO/specifications/
And MoBo memory QVL list that also includes OC RAM (faster than 3200 Mhz),

If you want to have the fastest RAM, look the correct one up from the memory QVL list.

Do note that even though CPU can't use faster RAM than 2666 Mhz, the rest of your system can use your faster RAM in OC stage, e.g 3200 Mhz.

Thanks again Aeacus.

Reason I choose it was also cause it had 14-14-14 timing, so I thought was a bit faster than higher speed but also higher timing rams.

I will have a loot of this list and see if I can find better :)

Thanks a ton man
