Have a pc that is running 768 megs of ram. If i wanted to could I set the value in virtual memory mim and max value to what windows recomends .For instance when we had 390 megs windows recomended 517 so I set the mim and max to 517.. Bruce

Wow. That was interesting. I really think I understand the settings now. I also see that when windows starts running low all of a sudden and wanting more virtual Memory it could be a third party software problem. I am suspecting Norton on this PC. I don't like Norton and would not have it on my PC . It is to intrusive and a real resource hog. Thanks for the lead. Bruce
