I have been getting errors on my friends gaming PC. The BSOD with the Error code of "Memory_Management". To my knowledge, that means it's RAM related (whether it be the RAM stick itself or the DIMM slot, is to be determined in further tests).
I used MemTest86 to test the RAM and it came down to these results. I did 3 separate tests:
(2x8GB Sticks if RAM = 16GB)
Test 1:
DIMM Slots Populated: [] [x] [] [x]
Results from MemTest: 4 Contiguous Errors, obviously there's a RAM related issue.
Test 2:
DIMM Slots Populated: [] [x] [] [] - Only 1 RAM Stick in DIMM Slot 2 (Manual has them labeled 4 2 3 1)
Results from MemTest: No Errors
I switched the sticks of RAM to the other "working" stick.
Results from MemTest: 4 Contiguous Errors
This would mean that specific stick is faulty, correct?
I also placed the RAM in the other channel variation, and then placed one stick each in a different DIMM slot and did the same testing, yielding the same results.
