hi ive been learning up on overclocking, and i think i got my system stable where i want it but from lots reading online everyone always talks about memtest to test memory. maybe im just stupid but when i tried to find where to download there are lots of different versions, and some actually try to make you pay.

my question is what is the standard memtest program to test memory that everyone talks about. a link would be great

thanks

im kinda lazy i cant run it with both sticks in?

I'm lazy too.

Run the test with all of your ram.
You should get NO errors after several full passes.

More often than not, everything is good, and you are done.

If you hava an error, then it is time to isolate the error by running just one stick at a time.

When you have one known good stick, you can test it in each of the slots if necessary to rule opt the possibility of a bad slot.

And, if you have a sandy bridge cpu, be sure to get the latest version; older versions will not run.
