Thanks

Solution
the only idea is that you mainboard doesnt support your ram at its full speed
so u have to reduce clock to find out which speed it can run withou fault
once u get it stable, u can experiment with higher clocks while chnaging ram timings, cad settings and so on
here some usefull guide about tweaking ram settings on ryzen

u may try setting soc voltage to 1.2v, with 4 sticks memory controller has to work hard , 1.2v is max safe limit

well it means, your ram is not stable
4 sticks on 300 seeries board + first gen ryzen..hmm
try with 2133mhz setting

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean about the motherboard?? , the ram is 2666mhz at stock and the 1600 is the AF model that's basically a under clocked 2600 I will try at 2133mhz tomorrow, any other ideas looking at the results?
Thanks for the reply!

Thank you for your reply and time, will give your suggestions a go , do you think it could be the cpu?

no its teh mainboard
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-ax370m-ds3h.pdf
here is list of compatible ram modules for your mainboard
your ram sticks are listed here, but only running at 2133mhz
any furter clock bumbs will need bios setting tweaks

while running ram at this clock, u can reduce ram voltage to 1.2v
1.35v is for overclocking (once u want to try that)

I had to update the bios on the board to the latest version to get the cpu to work would that make a difference to the ram speeds? Again thanks for the reply mate
