So my friend was having random restarts when he was playing games (especially demanding games like total war warhammer 2) so i thought why not do a ram test using memtestx86
and when i did, we got these error messages..
i'm a bit confused however, these are ram generated errors or cpu? because it says cpu at the end and i have never used memtest before

There is obviously an issue with the RAM. For the CPU number, I'd suspect it justpint to the CPU core that is sccessing the specific region of ram address at that time.
my friend got the same problem again even after switching his rams, any thoughts as to why this could happen?

How many sticks of ram are you running? I had a PC one time with 4 sticks of ram and after it got a couple of years old It started getting errors. I ran Memtest and it showed errors but each stick checked good. Found it would pass ok with 3 sticks but not 4. Had to raise my DDR3 voltage to 1.6 volts to run with 4 sticks without errors. Are you sure the new ram is compatible?
