i recently have reset my computer to start from scratch and during the reset it split my 250G SSD into 2 halved partitions in D: and C: i deleted D: so it would be unallocated but then learned you can only extend if the unallocated is on the right of the current active partition. I have my OS boot and such on C:, i just want to give that unallocated space to it. Any easy get around for this without do anything drastic?

Hi there MadTitanX,

You just need to use some third party tool such as the one that reedo_43 suggested. Even though everything should be fine, I would advise you to back up the most crucial data(if you have any) that is stored on C: before the merging process.

Theres something fishy about what your saying.
Normally id say you can just expand a drive to include unallocated space.
Last i really fiddled with it i used "partition magic" but should work in windows disk management.

Solution
did exactly that, used MiniTool Partition Wizard, didn't even merge them, it allows you to extend a drive no matter the setting (left or right) to the active drive. Extended my ssd in C: and got the extra 100G it split. Thanks for all the help!
