message that comes up at every start up

Sorry but I forgot what I was running before I got this message on start-up: line 1 - delete file protection
line2 - Delete Protection cannot find its device driver
line3 - OK

Clicked ok and computer seems to be running fine, played games, surfed around downloaded stuff. Did all kinds of searches on the web, went to Microsoft for help they wanted money.
Please help, I'll try anything but I REALLY don't want to do a system recovery, I'd rather put up with that message popping up at every start-up than do a SR. At the same time I don't know what having delete file protection NOT functioning can do to my system, so far nothing that I can tell but I'm a newbie so who knows. Hopefully, this post will get me out of this hassle.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

goto start -> Run -> type 'msconfig' goto the startup tab and uncheck all.
Reboot. If message stops then something in there is trying to run. If it still appears go back to msconfig and recheck all.
Not sure what else to check. Did you install or uninstall any programs lately?
