Messed up mic?

When I am in a Skype call with my friend he can hear himself and my games but not me when I talk I have tried changing settings for the last 2 hours can someone tell me how to fix this?

so you want to hear your self?
right click on speaker option in task-bar select Recording Devices there u will see all the microphones connected to your system,
select the microphone that you want to be default
then go to its properties come to Listen tab if you want to hear yourself check Listen to this device option and apply
go to Levels tab there u can increase and decrease microphone's volume suitable for u apply ok.
