Messed up my BIOS

Hi...I'm really bad at all this computer stuff so please be patient with me >< So I've been trying to get some help on my constantly crashing nvidia gtx 580, and apparently I've read somewhere that led me to playing with my bios set-up by resetting it to optimized defaults.. Now my computer gets a blue screen at the starting windows page.. I'm quite computer illiterate so can anyone offer any advice? Thank you.

do you have onboard video on the motherboard so i would remove the gtx 580 and plug monitor to board then try boot and see if you have picture .

In bios check sata mode. Set it to the opposite of what it is. Probably not raid however. Good luck!

Hi, how do I check my motherboard without booting up my computer? Is it written somewhere?

Okay, so I tried switching sata modes (if I'm right, disabling the native sending it to legacy mode) and it still gives me the same blue screen... Is there anything else I could try? I don't think I can plug my monitor to my motherboard because I don't think there is a port available to it.....

thanks for the help reedo....i tried what you did, but it didn't work.. my friend suggested to take the battery out and replacing it after 5 min and it worked thanks for the help and concern!

you made a cmos reset to factory for the bios by removing and putting back the battery be careful next time you play with bios settings you could brick it and render the motherboard useless you where lucky .

I disagree. You can only brick it if you do a bad bios flash update. What you did was make a mistake which was fixable. If you never go in there you will never learn. Glad you got it sorted.
