Hi...I'm really bad at all this computer stuff so please be patient with me >< So I've been trying to get some help on my constantly crashing nvidia gtx 580, and apparently I've read somewhere that led me to playing with my bios set-up by resetting it to optimized defaults.. Now my computer gets a blue screen at the starting windows page.. I'm quite computer illiterate so can anyone offer any advice? Thank you.

Solution
you made a cmos reset to factory for the bios by removing and putting back the battery be careful next time you play with bios settings you could brick it and render the motherboard useless you where lucky .
Hi, how do I check my motherboard without booting up my computer? Is it written somewhere?
Will try that reedo, thanks for advice
EDIT: going out now, will be back later to try switching the sata mode and report back 🙂

Okay, so I tried switching sata modes (if I'm right, disabling the native sending it to legacy mode) and it still gives me the same blue screen... Is there anything else I could try? I don't think I can plug my monitor to my motherboard because I don't think there is a port available to it.....

thanks for the help reedo....i tried what you did, but it didn't work.. my friend suggested to take the battery out and replacing it after 5 min and it worked :) thanks for the help and concern! :)

Totally agree with what you said. Thanks... never ever touching BIOS ever again
