Metal Piece fell out of my PC

Metal piece about 2 and a half inches in length with 2 medium sized holes and a small one in the top corner of it fell out of my pc. Not sure what it is or if it’s important and needs to be put back.

Please tell me what it is, if it is important, if I need to replace or put back, and/or how to put it back

Looks like it has come off one of your expansion cards.

What PC do you have?

If you look at the back, do you see any obvious holes.

What were you doing at the time, these things should not fall off under normal usage.

It’s a Cooler Master PC from about 7 years ago with i7 950, GTX 970 and SETA 6GB Ram
Was just picking up my PC and moving it to a different place only 5 metres. When I got it I was able to move it to my apartment building up 4 floors so that shouldn’t have been a problem. I tilted the PC at a 45 degree angle and might have knocked a few things out of place from the back of the pc but wasn’t really aware until I heard a metallic sound of something hitting the floor of the pc. Do I have to put this back into the pc or can I discard it if it’s not that important? Thanks.

I think I figured out where it came from. The holes on the metal thing look exactly like the ones for the WiFi antennae things.

yea, wanted to say it looks like a small form bracket for the back of a card, somebody probably left it inside so they dont lose it
