Hey guys, so my situation is that my bro has a computer in the top floor of my house. I built a second one on the same floor but other side of the house.

How am I supposed to connect both of them to my modem/router (idk what it's called) Ethernet?

Do I need to run a cable through everything or can I install 2 modems/routers?

Would it slow down my connection overall?

I'd preferably want Ethernet connection in both. Thanks guys.

Also if you guys could explain the diffrence between a modem and router that'd be great.
I think I have fiber internet.

Solution
G
Modem - makes your internet run on phone lines
Router - connects all your PCs
For more info, use wikipedia.

The best way would be ethernet cables. Another router is really rare thing to do, and when you think about it, you will still need to connect 2nd router to primary one using cable.

Solution
This is a little oversimplified, but will lead most quickly to a solution (imho). A modem will have a single ethernet connection on it, and possibly [also] a USB connection on it; only one of these would be used at a time.
A router will have multiple ethernet ports on it, typically five, but sometimes as many as eight. One of them may be labeled "WAN;" that port should be plugged into the modem. If the router offers wireless capabilities, it will most likely have one or more external antennas on it (some don't, like the round D-Link "cloud" routers).
What you should do depends on what you have now, and your budget.
If you have a wireless router now, get a good PCIe wireless card for one of the PCs, not a USB adapter as they tend to have miserable antennas. Expect to spend $30-$40 on it.
If you have a router, but it is not wireless, you can either replace it with a decent wireless one (I would spend $150-$200; $75-$100 will work but you'll get lower performance) and get a good wireless card as above for one of the PCs, OR you can try Powerline networking, particularly (but not necessarily) if both rooms are on the same circuit. A pair of 500Mbit/s adapters will cost $40-$60. If not included, you may need to buy some short (e.g. 10') cat-5e or cat-6 Ethernet cables to go from one adapter to the router, and the other adapter to its PC.
