Hello everyone.

There was an issue with Windows 10 where if the default metro apps were removed in one build (1803 as an example), updating to the next build (1809 as an example) would bring them back again.

Has this issue been resolved already?

So it hasn't been addressed?

According to this one article from Microsoft, the issue was resolved in build 1809.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/application-management/remove-provisioned-apps-during-update

The first thing the article says is this:
"When you update a computer running Windows 10, version 1703 or 1709, you might see provisioned apps that you previously removed return post-update. This can happen if the computer was offline when you removed the apps. This issue was fixed in Windows 10, version 1803."

Still happens here at work with 2500 win10 pc's , even if you have those apps blocked MS still goes backs and sets them as the defaults . Worst offender is Edge taking over as the default PDF reader for us.

What build are those PCs running that you're still experiencing the issue?
